Discovering Jaco Costa Rica

Next Tour »

The Costa Rica Fashion Photo Tour was held on November 9-11, 2007 in and around Jaco, Costa Rica. Everyone stayed with Jill at the NATIVA is located in Costa Rica's Central Pacific Region about 20 minutes outside of Jaco. Only 45 miles from San José, Nativa is the closest beach resort to the capital city. NATIVA's unique beauty comes from its privileged location between the exotic Carara National Park and the Golfo de Nicoya, with its islands garnishing NATIVA’s exhilarating ocean view. The Carara National Park is one of the last remaining dry forests in the world. It stretches from the Pacific Coast to Ciudad Colon, near San José. The national park is home to hundreds of bird species, plants, animals and insects, including sloths, monkeys, scarlet hermit crabs, green parrots and even jaguars and cougars.

Friday –

We we’re up bright and early to head into Jaco for make-up and styling at William’s Salon. We spent the morning shooting at two popular restaurants in Jaco, Taco Bar, which has swings for chairs and the Rio Oasis, which is known for local pizza. Jaco is one of the most popular Costa Rican beaches. Located north of the Puntarenas providence along the country's pacific coast, Jaco has the reputation of being a "party town" with an excellent nightlife. One of the town’s main attractions are the waves....this is a surf town.
