This year, the Piel Dorada event boasted the largest group of international girls ever. Gorgeous women came from Costa Rica, Argentina, Honduras, Chile, Venezuela, Colombia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Peru and El Salvador to compete. Momma always said "there will be days like these..." I wonder if this is what she was talking about?!

Upon arriving in Costa Rica, we shot in two primary locations, Guanacaste, on Coco Beach and the Jungles of inner Liberia. Coco Beach is amazing. The lighting here goes from good to "great" and the sunsets are as good as god can provide. They are long, they are sea-air filtered and they are where Karina Pinelli's photos were taken in the light wearing the white crochet.

The second half of the week we made the 20 mile journey into the jungles of inner Liberia. Absolutely the worst road conditions I have ever encountered! My luggage including all my camera equipment was held by a bungee cord on top of the bus, one wrong turn or bump and everything would have fallen off the side of the bus into a 200 foot ravine.
